Around the World... One Journey at a Time.

Where Are We Now?

We are currently at home, relishing the memories of our recent 2-week family RV trip tracing Route 66 from Santa Monica, California to Gallup, New Mexico.

We also have the following travel plans brewing:

--In April, an 18-day family adventure in China.

--In June, a 17-day family trip to Paris, Barcelona, and the Basque region of Spain.

--In August, a 3-week family RV road trip to Glacier National Park in Montana, with a lot of family dirt-biking fun along the way.

--In November, a 2-week motorcycle excursion through Cambodia.

For 2011, we are already dreaming about southern India with the kids in the spring, and a 2-month family RV trip to Alaska in the summer . . . .

About Us

We are a family of four—Kathy, Ben, Genevieve (age 10) and Sebastian (age 7).  Our goal is to learn and have as much fun as possible as we travel through this life together.  “Home” is currently the beautiful town of Aptos, along the Pacific Ocean in Central California.

More details are here.

Planning Our Adventures

For us, each journey begins with the initial heart pangs to venture to a certain part of the world. Then the ideas start coming together . . . ahh, the possibilities . . . and the dream evolves gradually into an actual plan. But, oh, the joy of the dream!  Click here to learn more about how we plan and prepare for our journeys.

Words for the Heart

“. . . and then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
